Camino Ireland walks take place from April until November |
At Camino Ireland we can tailor your walk to meet your specific needs and abilities. Whether your desire is to complete the Camino on a single journey, to complete it over a number of stages and trips or to just walk a part of the way and be able to share in this unique event, we can arrange this for you. |
In recent years an increasing number of peregrinos have opted to walk the section of the route that covers a little more than the last 100 kilometres in Galicia. This enables travellers to register for and receive the Compostela in Santiago. For those able to spend only a week or so away from home and work, this is an excellent option. |
|
The range and standard of accommodation along the Camino is quite extensive, from internationally acclaimed 5-star hotels, rural pazos, to refugios. Some towns offer a range of facilities while choice can be extremely limited in other villages and hamlets. Where local annual festivals are being held, on the weekend of Spain’s National Day, Oct 12th and especially at Semana Santa and St James’ feast day, it can become almost impossible to source accommodation. |
Camino Ireland employs a range of accommodation styles that are convenient to our route and that are welcoming to perigrinos. Our groups are accommodated in hotels, pazos and pensions that represent the best available at each stage of our journey. Accommodation is based on double occupancy rooms with ensuite but individuals wishing for a single room and paying a single supplement can also be provided for. |
| Camino Ireland offer guided trips for groups and for individuals. Groups of 8 or more can be accommodated on almost any date between April and end of October. Our group trips are tailored to meet the requirements and needs of each group. This allows groups to choose the distances that they feel comfortable walking and to select the type of accommodation that they prefer. |
In addition, we can facilitate walks of any duration on any section of the Camino. |

Special Rates for College and Youth Groups |
At Camino Ireland we are aware of the difficulties involved in bringing groups of young people away on these types of activities. We are able to offer special rates to groups carrying out the Silver Award for An Gaisce or the Duke of Edinburgh Award or similar schemes and to Schools and Colleges wishing to bring groups to the Camino. |
| Groups interested in walking as part of a “Sponsored Event” should contact us directly to plan and cost their trip. |
